Location: French Road over Allen Creek Bridge, Town of Brighton, NY The work to be performed consists principally of the furnishing of all labor and materials for: Removal the existing wearing surface on the bridge, apply a waterproof membrane, repave the wearing surface and approaches, and replacement of the existing bridge and approach guiderail with new standard bridge rail system and new approach guiderailing. Reinforced concrete box repairs to headwalls and to various areas of the existing concrete box are included. A sidewalk will be added on the south side of the bridge and extend on the approaches to complete the sidewalk connection. Construction will be staged with a one-way off-site south/southeast bound detour to maintain traffic during construction. The forgoing is a general outline of work only and shall not be construed as a complete description of the work to be performed under the Contract. Contract Documents are not printed in advance so two (2) days notice is required. The plans will be available at the aforementioned location and released only after $100.00 payment is received by the Town. Only those who have downloaded or purchased Contract Documents directly from Town of Brighton will be provided addenda and will be allowed to submit a bid. The project duration is 150 days from Notice to Proceed. Bid envelope must have project name, bid date and bid time on envelope. Bids must be made in writing on the forms furnished and shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds and provide insurance in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Disadvantage Business Enterprise Utilization Goal for this project is 5%. There are no M/WBE or SDVOB goals for this project. The Equal Employment Opportunity goal for Minority Participation is 5.3% and Woman participation goal is 6.9%. The proposed DBE Commitment form must also be included with the bid. Town of Brighton reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to accept any Bid or individual item or items which may be deemed most favorable to its best interests.
