The City of Phoenix is seeking up to three qualified consultants to provide Engineering services for the Water Remote Facilities section. Services may include engineering studies, conceptual and detailed design, and construction administration and inspection services for various Water Remote facilities on an as-needed basis The City’s Water Services Department - Water Remote Facilities section oversees engineering services for over 300 facilities located throughout the City’s distribution system. The facilities include, but are not limited to: booster pump stations, production wells, pressure reducing valve stations, reservoirs (steel and concrete), and associated city facilities such as administrative and service yards. The Remote Facilities section coordinates with consultants and contractors on assessments, design and construction activities, minor repairs and improvements, and also provides engineering support for the Remote Facilities operations group as requested, for the facilities identified above. The selected consultants will assist the City and provide engineering services for an initial two-year period with an option for a one-year extension. As requested by the City, the consultants must be able to provide, but shall not be limited to, the following engineering services on an as-needed basis: Studies and evaluations, such as field surveys and investigations Data collection Assessments and inspections Modeling Cost estimation and cost model review Permit and regulatory assistance Design document preparation (plans and specifications) Construction Administration and Inspection Construction support Questions pertaining to this selection process or contract issues should be directed to the Contracts Specialist, Julie B.
