The Ministry of Forests is looking to complete a wildfire risk reduction treatment adjacent to the community of Devine, north of Pemberton, within the Sea to Sky Natural Resource District, to meet specific wildfire behaviour objectives. The services required for this project include, but are not limited to, understorey thinning, removal of merchantable timber, tree pruning, surface fuel clean-up, piling and burning or removal of residual material off-site. This is a manual, non-mechanized treatment. The total area for treatment for the three treatment units is 22.2 hectares and all work, including the completion of pile burning, must be completed no later than March 7th, 2025.
