Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Douglas, Georgia. Completed plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials and equipment and performing all labor necessary to build a new bathroom, replace dugouts, replace playground and install new concrete sidewalks throughout park according to the details in the specifications. The work on the project must be completed within 120 consecutive calendar days of the date of notice to proceed. All bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond, made payable to the City of Douglas in the amount of at least five (5) percent of the lump sum bid. Separate contract Performance Bonds and Payment Bonds equal to one hundred (100) percent of the contract amount will be required from the successful bidder prior to execution of contracts. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited if the Bidder fails to execute the contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within ten (10) days after being notified that he has been awarded the contract. The estimated budget for this project is $288,000.00 The City of Douglas is committed to providing all persons with equal access to its services, programs, activities, education and employment regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, disability or age. Contracts shall be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder whose bid meets the requirements and criteria set forth in the advertisement for bids; provided, however, that if the bid from the lowest responsible and responsive bidder exceeds funds budgeted, the owner may negotiate with such apparent low Bidder to obtain a contract price within the budgeted amount. Such negotiations may include changes in the scope of work and other bid requirements. The Owner further reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities, and to accept any bid which in its opinion may be in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner has the right to add or to delete from the Contract once it has been awarded. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of the bids. All bidders must receive bid package from Lancore Engineering, P.C. in order to be eligible to bid. The work described by these specifications is located within the City of Douglas. Roundtree Park is at 801 South Gaskin Avenue, Douglas, GA 31533. 3.2 The Site is further identified in the Bidding Documents. Easements for permanent structures or permanent changes in existing facilities are to be obtained and paid for by Owner, unless otherwise provided in the Bidding Documents. All additional lands and access thereto required for temporary construction facilities, construction equipment, or storage of materials and equipment to be incorporated in the Work are to be obtained and paid for by Contractor.
