Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Orland Hills, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

Description of Work: The project includes the removal and replacement of existing Type 2 PC concrete curb and gutter, existing PC concrete sidewalk, existing PC concrete driveway aprons, and existing bituminous concrete driveway aprons. It also includes the milling and patching of existing pavement, a bituminous concrete overlay, and other misc work. The proposal shall include a bid bond for 5% of the total bid in accordance with IDOT standards (or equal) to insure that the contractor will be able to provide a performance bond to guarantee completion of the awarded contract. Funding and Scope Adjustments: This project is being funded entirely with general funds. The Village of Orland Hills reserves the right to adjust the project scope prior to the award if is determined to be in the best interest of the village and acceptable to the contractor. The village also reserves the right to adjust quantities as recommended by the design engineer as work progresses. Compliance: The contractor shall be required to comply with all Federal, State of Illinois, Cook County, and Village of Orland Hills applicable laws, acts, disclosures, certifications, and prevailing wages. Rejection of Bids: The President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Hills reserve the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all proposals as provided in Article 102 of the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, prepared by the Department of Transportation of the State of Illinois.
