Renovation of an educational facility in San Francisco, California. Working plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

**As of September 19 , 2024 No bid received on the project No definite date for the rebid.** The Project consists of all labor, materials equipment and services necessary to Replace two existing concrete footings and a portion of the associated columns, as well as the removal of steel shoring. Any bid that is submitted after this time shall be nonresponsive and returned to the bidder. Each bidder is solely responsible for timely submission of its bid; the District is not responsible for any technological issues in a bidder's ability to timely submit its bid or portion thereof. Any claim by a bidder of error in its bid must be made in compliance with section 5100 et seq. of the Public Contract Code. Prior to posting to the SFUSD website, the District reserves the right to verify the genuineness of any bid security. All bids shall be on the form provided by the District and must be responsive. To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations and to possess one or more of the following State of California Contractor's license required for this work: Class B, General Building Contractor with Asbestos and Lead Certification or Sub-Contractor with Asbestos and Lead Certification performing the work. The Bidder's license(s) must remain active and in good standing throughout the term of the Contract. I When the bid price is greater than $25,000, the successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the contract for the Work. The successful Bidder may substitute securities for any monies withheld by the District to ensure performance under the Contract, in accordance with the provisions of section 22300 of the Public Contract Code. The successful Bidder shall comply with all requirements of Division 2, Part 7, Chapter 1, of the Labor Code and Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations. For all work performed pursuant to this Contract, the Contractor and all subcontractors shall pay all workers not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and for holiday and overtime work as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, State of California, ("DIR") for the type of work performed and the locality in which the work is to be performed within the boundaries of the District, pursuant to sections 1770 et seq. of the California Labor Code. Prevailing wage rates are also available from the District or the DIR website. This Project is subject to labor compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR. The Bidder and all Subcontractors under the Bidder shall comply with applicable federal, State, and local requirements relating to COVID-19 or other public health emergency/epidemic/pandemic including, if required, preparing, posting, and implementing a Social Distancing Protocol. Bidder shall further comply with policies, as may be amended from time-to-time, and currently require workers on District sites to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, or else subject to weekly testing for COVID-19. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. Unless otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for ninety (90) days after the date of the bid opening. Description of Phase 1: Project Plan, Submittals, Procurement & Mobilization The work includes, but is not limited to: Preparation of a project schedule, Schedule of Values, mobilization, which may include installation of temporary protection/fencing, and all necessary material submittals, shop drawings and field verifications. Description of Phase 2: Demolition, Formwork & Concrete Placement The work includes, but is not limited to: 1. Demolition of the existing slab on grade surrounding each of the existing column footings scheduled for replacement. 2. Demolition of the (2) existing column footings and specified sections of the existing (2) columns including the existing steel reinforcing. 3. Installation of (2) new concrete spread footings including associated formwork & newly specified steel reinforcing. 4. Installation of (2) new sections of vertical columns including associated formwork and newly specified steel reinforcing. 5. Installation of" concrete slab on grade surrounding the (2) columns. 6. Dismantling of the existing steel shoring at each of the (2) column locations upon the completion and approval by the project inspector of the repair work. Work Restrictions: All work in this phase of the project must be completed during non-school hours or on weekends. Non-school hours are defined as before 9:00am and after 6:00pm, Monday - Friday or on weekends. The site is occupied 24/7 by students, staff and the stay-over program. Contractor shall coordinate access to site to ensure there is no disruption to onsite programming. Description of Phase 3: Punchlist & Closeout The work includes, but is not limited to: Complete punchlist work, final inspection and project close out. Work Restrictions: All work in this phase of the project must be completed during non-school hours or on weekends. Non-school hours are defined as before 9:00am and after 6:00pm, Monday - Friday or on weekends.)
