Reference number: 20015721 Deadline for receipt of complaints 2024-09-09 Electronic tender submission accepted Yes, via SEAO, with a document Expected contract duration without options (in months) 36 Expected contract duration with options (in months) 60 Description The purpose of this call for tenders is to retain the services of a specialized service provider to ensure the preventive maintenance and water analyses of the CSSPI's four (4) cooling towers in order to ensure the quality of the environment and the safety of the people occupying the CSSPI's buildings. More specifically, the services required in this call for tenders are aimed at reducing the risk associated with the development of bacteria in the water cooling towers, in particular the growth of the Legionella species that causes legionellosis. Since July 12, 2014, owners of water-cooled cooling tower installations must comply with the requirements of the Regulation amending the Safety Code of the Regie du batiment du Quebec (RBQ), in summary: - Maintenance of installations according to a program drawn up by members of a professional order; - Keep a complete register containing all required information on installations; - Regular transmission of certain information on installations to the RBQ; - Sampling according to the protocol of the Centre d'expertise en analyse environnementale du Quebec and subsequent analysis by an accredited laboratory; - Transmission to the appropriate authorities of test results indicating a Legionella pneumophila concentration of 1,000,000 CFU/L (colony-forming units per liter of water) or more; - The implementation of appropriate measures when a test result indicates a Legionnella pneumophila concentration of 1,000,000 CFU/L or more. The contract award is based on a specific number of towers to be maintained, i.e. equipment installed at four (4) schools. However, during the course of the contract, towers may be dismantled and the amounts paid for maintenance will be reduced by the value of the towers removed.
