Site work for a civil project in Whiting, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
City of Whiting 2024 Combined Sewer Lining and Manhole Rehabilitation Proof of REL Prequalification will be required to be submitted with the bid. All bids shall be sealed in an envelope addressed to the City of Whiting, attention Clerk-Treasurer's office. The name and address of the bidder and the name of the project shall also appear on the outside of the envelope. Bids must be submitted on the forms provided by the City s Representative. Any questions regarding the specifications must be submitted in writing no later than September 13, 2024, to Bob Csanyi at bcsanyi@reltd.com. A certified check/bank draft drawn on a solvent bank or a bid bond drawn on a solvent bank, payable without condition to the City of Whiting in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid shall be submitted with each proposal, as a guarantee that, if the proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into, and the performance of the contract is properly secured. A performance bond and payment bond in a sum equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the bid, with sureties to be approved by the Board for the faithful performance of the contract, must be furnished by the successful bidder. All bids or bids shall contain an offer to furnish bond upon acceptance of such bid or proposal. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, to postpone the bid opening, or to advertise for new bids, if the Board determines it is in the best interests of the City.
