The work shall include the shaving or grinding of concrete sidewalk trip hazards at the identified locations by the city. All Trip Hazards removed shall comply with the Federal Americans with Disabilities Act standards and shall include a warranty of work according to these standards. Bids shall include references and/or photos of previous work. Contractors with previous work experience in sidewalk shaving with the City of Dublin need not submit references or photos. The bid shall be complete pricing including all mobilization, signage, and cleanup associated with the work. The quote shall encompass all necessary equipment, skilled labor, and required materials and shall also include a general schedule of the work. Work will take place in approximately 372 locations with 741 identified shaves. Assuming a sidewalk width of 4'-0" and a 10% contingency yields a total bid quantity of 3,260 linear feet. Pricing should be provided in a unit price format such that areas may be added or removed for better contract management. Shaving locations are identified by the web map and list in Attachment A. The Engineer's Estimate for this work is $50,000.
