Cumberland County is in the process of designing and constructing the new Crown Event Center, a 137,410-squarefoot multipurpose event center that will be located in Downtown Fayetteville, North Carolina, and that is expected to open in April 2027. As part of this project, the County wants to ensure that security features for the new facility are designed and installed appropriately and efficiently, and is seeking to contract with a consultant who specializes in planning for these types of systems at similar facilities to ensure appropriate security considerations are factored into the Crown Event Center's design and construction, that appropriate policies are in place to manage those systems, and that staff are sufficiently trained on operating those systems Cumberland County is seeking to construct a new multipurpose event center in Downtown Fayetteville, NC, which will provide a variety of entertainment opportunities, as well as additional event and meeting opportunities for organizations and the general public. The facility's program includes approximately 137,410 square feet of space spread over three stories with a public lobby, main event hall with general admission and VIP spaces, as well as back-of-house and performance spaces, meeting and conference space, and an outdoor terrace. The County is seeking a qualified vendor to provide security consulting services to help plan for and ensure the safety of patrons, staff and performers in the new facility. The selected vendor must provide consulting services during the design phase and construction phases of the project to ensure sufficient security considerations are included and appropriately incorporated into the facility and must also assist with the development of policies to manage security systems and the training of staff to implement and operate those systems prior to and upon opening of the facility, which is currently anticipated in April 2027. The Contract shall have an initial term through June 30, 2027, beginning on the date of contract award (the "Effective Date"). The CONTRACTOR shall begin work under the Contract immediately upon execution of the Contract. At the end of the Contract's current term, the COUNTY shall have the option, in its sole discretion, to continue Contract on the same terms and conditions on a month-to-month basis for up to a total of one additional year.
