Central Street: Winthrop Street to Franklin Street (South Bound) Remove the old sidewalk and asphalt berm. Install new Bituminous Concrete (Hot Mix Asphalt) sidewalk and berm south bound from Winthrop St to Franklin St. Total length on the south bound side is roughly 1,020 feet. The new sidewalk will have 1 1/2 inches of 3/4 inch binder and 1 1/2 inches of 3/8 Dense Top for a total thickness of 3 inches. Driveway aprons will have 2 1/2 inches of 3/4 inch binder and 1 1/2 inches of 3/8 Dense Top for a total thickness of 4 inches. The berm is roughly 885 feet. New berm will have a 6 inch reveal and must use berm mix. There is one tree stump that needs to be removed and disposed of. Please note there are other trees in the work area that need to be carefully worked around to protect the root systems. Please coordinate this work with Robert Walker DPW Deputy Director. There are three new concrete curb ramps to be installed, two at Regency Dr. and 1 at the corner of Central St. and Franklin St. Granite curb at the corner of Central St and Franklin St. may have to be adjusted to meet ADA compliance. Any prospective contractor (bidder) requesting an interpretation of existing specifications of terms and conditions must do so in writing by September 9, 2024 The Town of Holliston DPW - Highway is seeking sealed bids for Sidewalk Reconstruction and Crosswalk work on a section of Central and Church Streets in Holliston. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000.
