Demolition, site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Completed plans call for the demolition of a clubhouse / community center; for the construction of a clubhouse / community center; for site work for a clubhouse / community center; communication facility; playground / park / athletic field; swimming pool; and water / sewer project.
Construction of new facilities and major site renovations throughout the campground, which generally, includes the following: \b Demolition of existing bathhouse, landscape and trees. \b Construction of a new clubhouse, check-in building and (2) bathhouses. \b Construction of new site infrastructure and utilities. \b Construction of (104) RV campsites w/electrical, water, sewer and fiber connections. \b Construction of clubhouse amenity area including pool, splash pad, hot tub, pickleball courts, putting green, playground and fire pit. Prequalification: Bidders shall pre-qualify for this project. All approved bidders will be notified by the close of business, Friday, September 20, 2024. The Landscape Architect will release bid documents upon notification of prequalification. Applicants are encouraged to begin this process as early as possible. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to Alabama State Parks in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Bids submitted prior to the bid opening may be mailed or delivered in person to the office of State Parks at the address stated above. The Owner reserves the right to waive technical errors in applications or abandon the registration/pre-qualification process, should the interests of the Owner appear to be promoted thereby. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgement, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted. All prequalified bidders shall have a representative present at the meeting to remain on the approved bidders list. Submission of Bids: Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnished by the Landscape Architect or copies thereof. All bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show evidence of license before bidding or bid will not be received or considered by the Landscape Architect; the bidder shall show such evidence by clearly displaying his or her current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the proposal is delivered.
