The City of West Allis is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for BIOSWALE BUMPOUTS for 2024 - S. 62nd St. & W. Lapham St intersection. New bidders must pre-qualify for bidding by submitting proof of responsibility to the West Allis City Engineer. No bid shall be received unless accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond equal to at least 5 percent of the bid payable to the City of West Allis as a guaranty that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 10 days after the award of the contract. If the successful bidder so files the contract and bond, upon the execution of the contract by the city the check shall be returned. In case the successful bidder fails to file such contract and bond the amount of the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the city as liquidated damages. The West Allis Board of Public Works reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informalities in bidding. Est. Lapham St. including engineered soil media layer, surface mulch layer or coconut fiber mat, storm water storage layer, underdrain piping, cleanouts, observation wells, anti-seep collar, overflow structures, utility adjustments and all incidental items necessary to complete the work as shown on the Plans and included in these Special Provisions. for the installation of bioswale green infrastructure and plantings, concrete curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, storm sewer structures and pipe, and utility adjustments The grading of streets, alleys, parking lots and sidewalks, etc., shall conform to the requirements of these Specifications. Under these items and in accordance with these Specifications, the Contractor shall clear the ground of all obstructions and unsuitable debris, do all excavating and filling, dispose of surplus excavation, and do all other necessary work incidental to the construction work in conformance with the Plans as ordered in the field by the Engineer.
