The San Diego County Water Authority is soliciting proposals from qualified firms for professional architectural design, engineering and construction management services for tenant improvements required to accommodate the Water Authority's Operations and Maintenance Department at 1960 Citracado Parkway, Escondido, CA 92029. The Water Authority Was Organized on June 9, 1944 to Provide a Safe and Reliable Water Supply to Its Member Agencies Serving the San Diego Region. The Water Authority Has 23 Member Agencies, Consisting of 6 Cities, 16 Special Districts, and Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base. The Water Authority is Governed by a 35-member Board of Directors. The General Manager and Staff Implement the Policies Approved by the Board of Directors and Handle the Agency's Day-to-day Operations. The Approximate Population of San Diego County is 3.3 Million People, 90 Percent of Whom Live Within the Water Authority's Service Area. The Service Area Lies Within the Foothills and Coastal Areas of the Westerly Third of San Diego County, Encompassing Approximately 935,000 Acres. A new shell building consisting of 84,262 square feet (SF) of floor space on an 8.96 AC site is currently being constructed at 1960 Citracado Parkway.
