Contractors interested in submitting construction bids for the Chiller/Cooling Tower Replacement at Great Mills High School in Great Mills, Maryland, for the Board of Education of St. Mary's County, are invited to prequalify in accordance with the Prequalification Process of St. Mary's County Public Schools, and the requirements of this Prequalification Package. This Project is generally comprised of, but not limited to, the following: Replacing the existing 325-ton water cooled chiller with a dual VSD compressor magnetic bearing high efficiency chiller, cooling tower, condenser water piping, modification/partial of chilled water piping, valving, insulation, supports/hangers, controls, pumps (primary chilled water, condenser water), electrical connections etc. in kind. The existing chiller pad shall be reused. Capture and dispose of all R-123 refrigerant, (approximately 680 lbs.) in accordance with the latest EPA requirements. Chiller shall be in knock down form for rigging into place through the existing doors. The manufacturer shall be responsible for nitrogen charging, disassembly and reassembly to maintain the chiller warranty. The electrical scope of work includes replacement of the electrical distribution system to the chillers, pumps, and cooling tower. Coordinate wiring and interlock requirements with the chiller manufacturer. Scope of work includes all associated structural steel, roofing, patching etc. Project Cost Class : D - $1,000,000 to $2,500,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
