Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Salem, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The Proposed Work Consists of the Roadway Improvements to N. Jefferson St.. N. College Ave. And W. Boone St. Improvements Include Surface Milling, Hma Resurfacing, Pavement Patching, and Sidewalk Ramp Removal and Replacement to Meet Current Ada Standards and Other Miscellaneous Work to Complete the Project. No less than the prevailing rate of wages, as determined in accordance with the Illinois Prevailing Wage, shall be paid to all laborers, operators, teamsters, masons, plumbers, and any other workmen employed in the construction of this project. All bidders must be a prequalified IDOT contractor. Within 24 hours after the letting, the two low bidders must file an Affidavit of Availability indicating all uncompleted contracts awarded to them and all low bids pending award for Federal, State, County, Municipal, and private work. All proposals must be accompanied by a proposal guaranty. No Bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening. The City of Salem, Illinois, reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or technicalities in the bidding.
