Great Island Orchard Site Grading and Turf Establishment The Project Scope is to install all designed erosion control measures and maintain in place any others that are added during the project. Then cover the designated area (grass must be cut as low as possible) with orange snow fence (or approved equal) prior to the placement of 8" thick native clean fill and 4" thick of topsoil. Edges of fill area to be sloped to original grade as shown on the plan detail. Then seed and hay the top soiled area with a standard sun and shade grass seed mix. Hydro seeding is an acceptable alternate. Watering will be performed by the Town of Darien DPW.
