The Project scope includes watermain replacement of approximately 900 feet along Seventh Avenue between 152nd Street and to 153rd Street in the Village of Phoenix. Work specifically involves installation of a new watermain via trenchless construction (HDD), replacing hydrants, water service reconnections, curb and sidewalk removal and replacement and abandon of the existing watermain. All proposals or bids offered must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, Cash, or Certified Check. A Certified Check or bank draft payable to the order of the Treasurer, Phoenix, Illinois, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in the amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total Base Bid. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of the proposal without the consent of the Village of Phoenix for a period of forty-five (45) days after the scheduled time of closing bids. The successful bidder for the construction of the project will be required to file a Performance Bond equal to one hundred (100%) of the bid, with sureties to be approved by the Village of Pheonix , which performance bonds shall be conditioned upon proper and faithful performance by the Contractor of the work specified in accordance with the plans and specifications therefore, according to the time and terms and conditions of the contract; and also that the bidder and contractor shall property pay all debts incurred by the Contractor in the execution of the Work, including those for labor and materials furnished.
