VSU is currently seeking to prequalify contractors to receive as many fully qualified Offerors as possible to bid on the proposed Lula Johnson Hall work. Contractors SHALL have experience in historic renovation. For each of the projects, the anticipated project scope involves: This prequalification is for contractors to perform historic repairs, replacement, and renovation to Lula Johnson Hall. The Lula Jonson building is listed on the National Park Service (NPS) Register of Historic Places. The University seeks a fully qualified and expert contractor to provide preservation and rehabilitation services for this NPS grant funded project. This will be bid to the prequalified contractors only. All inquiries for information must be in writing and directed to: Debra AC. The process for prequalification is approximately 45-60 days and the bidding of the work will be advertised for 30 days. VSU will strive to issue the Notice to Proceed within 14 days after the bid opening The Owner reserves the right to visit the office(s) of an Offeror to verify any claim(s) made by an Offeror regarding staff, facilities, capabilities, qualifications and any other reasonable concerns that may arise on the part of the Owner. In such an event, the Offeror must make every reasonable attempt to clarify any concerns expressed by the Owner.
