Preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance as requested by the Town of Scituate Department of Public Works or their authorized representative. Typical work shall include but not limited to pump motors, SCADA systems, motor control centers, variable frequency drive instrumentation and alarm work. The Contractor shall furnish and supply all the necessary labor, equipment and material to accomplish said work itemsin accordance with acceptable electrical practices. The initial term of this agreement shall be for a term of one (1) year commencing on September 24, 2024 and ending on September 23, 2025. This agreement may be renewed or extended for up to two (2) yearly extensions, through September 23, 2026 and September 23, 2027 respectively, at the sole option of the Town and upon the terms described in the Invitation for Bid. Addenda will be issued by the end of business of September 10, 2024. All bids must be accompanied by a bid deposit in an amount that is not less than five percent (5%) of the value of the bid. Insurance coverage required at time of award. A payment bond in the amount of 50% of the contract will be required. Prevailing wages apply. Bids are subject to the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 30 39M as amended to date. All bids must be accompanied by a bid deposit in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the total value of the proposed work. Bid deposits shall be made payable to the "Town of Scituate" and shall be in the form of cash, certified check, treasurer's or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company, or a bid bond issued by a surety licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; and shall be conditioned upon the faithful performance by the principal of the agreements contained in the bid. The Town, acting through its Town Administrator, reserves the right to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so or to waive minor informalities.
