The Contractor shall provide all materials, tools, and labor associated with maintaining the neat and orderly appearance of various specialty beds/areas at town owned sites as specified by the Town of Scituate as well as special projects as approved. Successful contractor will have the opportunity for additional special projects as requested by the DPW, School Department, Facilities Department or Beautification Commission. Such additional work must be at the labor rates provided on the bid and must be submitted as a written proposal and approved by the Town Administrator or School Director of Finance and Business. These projects may include work at historical properties as well as seasonal decoration assistance. 1. Scituate Town Library - Beds by entrances - 85 Branch St 2. Scituate Town Library - Slope maintenance - 85 Branch St 3. Public Safety Complex - Beds along building perimeter - 800 Chief Justice Cushing Hwy 4. High School Athletic Complex - Beds along perimeter - 606 Chief Justice Cushing Hwy 5. Middle School - Beds along perimeter - 460 First Parish Rd 6. Middle School - Atrium area - 460 First Parish Rd 1. Perform spring clean-up of the listed areas. Apply at least 2" of mulch or other agreed upon ground cover. 2. Weed all sites as needed to keep them looking tidy, but at least once amonth from April through October. 3. Perform fall clean-up prior to Thanksgiving but after Halloween 4. Perform clean-up within one week of Thanksgiving Day football game and high school graduation for i. High School Athletic Complex, High School and Middle School. 5. Dispose of all waste after every visit. 6. On-call and emergency maintenance: provide maintenance services as requested by the Highway/Public Works Supervisor or his/her designee. Question Deadline 09/11/2024 Addenda will be issued by September 13, 2024 and posted to the Town's website. Questions should be referred to Nancy Holt at accounting@scituatema.gov. The contract will be awarded for one year commencing October 1, 2024 and ending on September 30, 2025. The contract may be extended for two additional one-year periods by mutual agreement. The lowest responsive and responsible bidder will be awarded the contract for one year with two (2) one-year extension options commencing October 1, 2024. Payment for specialty bed services will be made in nine monthly installments from March to November. The Town Administrator reserves the right to reject any and all bids. In the initial year of the contract, payment will be made for October and November 2024.
