PURPOSE: The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to obtain proposals from qualified firms or individuals for household hazardous waste (HHW) services beginning November 16, 2024. The County owns and will operate the North County Transfer Station (NTS), located at 22515 N. Elk Chattaroy Rd., Colbert, WA 99005, and the Valley Transfer Station (VTS), located at 3391 N. Sullivan Rd., Spokane Valley, WA 99216. Requests That Qualified Parties Submit Proposals To: oline. SUBMITTALS should follow the format outlined in the request for bid document online. The County is seeking proposals that articulate multiple days per week service and training for future County HHW staff. THE BOARD hereby notifies all bidders that no person or organization shall be discriminated against on the basis of race, religion, color, age, sex, sexual orientation or national origin in consideration for an award issued pursuant to this advertisement. Additionally, minority and women owned business enterprises are encouraged to submit bids in response to this invitation. QUESTIONS regarding the bid process shall be submitted via online. Spokane County Purchasing will respond to questions via online, thus providing all questions and answers to all prospective bidders. The initial contract term is 5 years. The extensions can be considered during contract negotiations.
