See Section 102.3 of the City of Wichita Standard Specifications for Further Information. A Tentative Effective Date of October 1, 2024. Start Date. The work order on these projects shall be issued 20 (twenty) calendar days after the date on which the contract for these projects has been awarded to the successful bidder. Time is of the essence on this project. Surfacing on Emporia, Topeka, and English needs completed by November 15, 2024. The contractor may complete the remaining streets as time allows prior to November 15, only upon completion of the other streets. If seasonal weather does not allow completion of Market and Main Streets in 2024, the contractor will be allowed until May 15, 2025, to complete the overlay on those two streets. Work on this project shall be completed within the calendar days specified from the Notice to Proceed date and in accordance with the plans and Standard Specifications. Working days will be charged as provided for in the Standard Specifications once the work order is issued. The non-availability of material shall not prevent working days from being assessed.
