Design plans call for the addition of a clubhouse / community center; for the demolition of a clubhouse / community center; for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center; and for site work for a clubhouse / community center.

As of August 14, 2025, this project is currently on hold. Information regarding the general contractor is not currently available. A firm construction start date has not been established. The objective of this work is to assist Wilson County with the renovation, additions, building modifications, and general contract services for the Shelter of Last Resort/ Wilson County Community and Expo Center located at 435 TX-97 in Floresville, Texas. The scope of work to be performed for the Shelter of Last Resort/ Wilson County Community and Expo Center may include General Contractor Services related to construction, renovations, additions to the existing metal structure, concrete work, relocating restrooms, adding showers, redesigning entrance, painting, relocating air conditioners, and potential additional construction. Additional construction would be discussed and agreed upon, by both, the county and awarded consultant. Questions that arise prior to the RFQ deadline shall be addressed to the following: kprado@wilsoncountytx.gov, klabus@wilsoncountytx.gov, and btrevino@wilsoncountytx.gov. 2.3 Questions regarding the Statement of Qualification Package should be directed in writing to the Wilson County Auditor, or his/her designee. The final date to submit questions will be 3:00 PM, Thursday, September 12, 2024. Substantive questions and answers will be provided to all RFQ recipients by Friday, September 13, 2024. Wilson County reserves the right to negotiate with any and all individuals or firms that submit proposals, as per the Texas Professional Services Procurement Act and the Uniform Grant and Contract Management Standards.
