Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Thomasville, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The Project includes the following Work: The project consists of a two and a half-foot curb and gutter along the western side of the road and a two and a two and a half-foot curb and gutter, three-foot landscaped area, five-foot sidewalk, and drainage improvements along the eastern side of US 84 BUS/SR 38 BUS/Old Albany Road from CS 817/North Boulevard to CS 790/Plantation Oak Drive. It also includes a pedestrian bridge crossing Oquina Creek on the eastern side of Old Albany Road. Old Albany Road (US 38 BUS) is a state maintained road, and this project is being funded with a federal-aid Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) grant and Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) as the match. Therefore, this project is a federal-aid project and will be administered in accordance with all applicable Federal and State rules and regulations to include, but not limited to, the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), GDOT Standard Specifications for Construction of Transportation Systems, and applicable GDOT design guidelines. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 10 percent of the total bid amount. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 90 calendar days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. There will not be a pre-bid conference. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time of 360 calendar days. Owner shall make progress payments on account of the Contract Price on the basis of Contractor's Applications for Payment submitted once per month as provided in the General Conditions. The DBE goal for this project is 8%. The last date for questions to be received is September 23rd.
