A general description of the Work to be done under these contract documents is described below. Construct new prefabricated concrete wet well, pumps and piping per contract documents. Construct / install prefabricated enclosure / prefabricated building with associated equipment per contract documents. Construct concrete foundation pad where the prefabricated enclosure / prefabricated building will be located. Construct gravel access drive parallel to Scranton Avenue for access and maintenance of the equipment. Construct 3-inch water line and connection to existing water line for clean water supply to the pretreatment system. Construct new manholes and 12-inch storm pipe for storm sewer relocation. Construct new manhole and piping for pretreatment system effluent. Construct/install new power feed to the pretreatment system and all conduits, electrical panels, and instrumentation and controls for system. Modify the existing fence to allow construction of the pretreatment system and the access drive. Construct/install new fence gates per contract documents. The project is subject to the "Build America, Buy America" act and all of the iron and steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in the project are to be produced in the United States ("Build America, Buy America Requirements"). Opinions of total project costs and revisions thereof should reflect compliance with these requirements. Engineer's estimated probable construction costs for the Work is $3,134,000.
