As of May 5, 2025, the school has decided to refurbish rather than replace the wastewater treatment plant and a contractor has been selected. *Previous solicitation listed below for reference:* Wastewater treatment facility for an approximately 1500 gallons per day flow of wastewater from a public school in Macon County, in western North Carolina. Questions: Call Todd Gibbs at Macon County Schools at: 828-534-3324 ext. 1029 The project has an estimated construction budget of $750,000 SCOPE OF WORK Design, development and construction management of an underground wastewater treatment system BUDGET The project has an estimated construction budget of $750,000 REQUESTED SERVICES The scope of work is anticipated to include the following: Develop an underground wastewatertreatmentfacility, to adequately, and within state specifications, for a public school with approximately 100 students and staff, treat wastewater from the school. Conduct various meetings with school maintenance staff to learn specifics, and needs of the current sand filtration wastewatertreatmentfacility that is on-site now. Provide interim and final cost estimated for construction and contingency. Provide assistance with the construction contract bidding and awards process. Provide construction administration and management services forthe project including final project closeout All questions and communications concerning this procurement process must be directed to Todd Gibbs, Director of Auxiliary Services.
