A. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, and equipment required to install the proposed polyethylene (PE) and welded steel (WS) gas piping by using horizontal directional drilling (HDD) methods and technology as shown on the plans and in accordance with these technical specifications provided herein. Work includes, but not limited to, proper joining of gas piping, proper installation of gas piping, testing, restoration of underground utilities, and environmental protection and restoration. B. Generally, the directional drilling method involves first drilling a pilot hole as shown on the approved pilot bore plan, then back-reaming the pilot hole no larger than 1.5 times the outer diameter of the pull-in pipe, and finally pulling back the fused or mechanically coupled pipet through the enlarged hole for a complete installation Construction of approximately 12,570 feet of 2-inch thru 6-inch welded steel and polyethylene gas line, connections to existing gas mains as shown on the plans, and new service connections to customers along the route Site Directions: Project starts at Tindall Drive and runs east along Blake Bottom Road to Anslee Way Pre-Qualification: Yes Question Deadline 09/24/2024 at 5:00 PM CT
