This project consists of construction of an on-route electric bus charging facility at the Valley Transit Center. WORK includes installation of large industrial electrical service, electric bus charging equipment, automated electric bus charge poles, selective concrete demolition, structural concrete for pole foundations, earthwork and trenching, modification of existing and placement of new underground electrical conduit and vaults, cables and conductors, and concrete flatwork. WORK also includes coordination with Capital Transit to minimize impact to bus operation during construction; coordination with the local electric utility for connection of new electrical service; coordination with OFCI switchboard manufacturer and charger manufacturer for startup and commissioning and all ancillary work resulting in the functional performance of the on-route bus charging system and restoration of facilities disturbed by construction and miscellaneous related WORK. The location was pre-prepared with an underground vault and roughed in conduits from Construction completed in Fall 2023.
