As of December 20, 2024, project is awarded to Mariani Enterprises, LLC dba Ed Castro Landscape with the amount of $290,637.37. The project consists of landscape improvements to the Lawrenceville Suwanee road medians. The work to be performed by the General Contractor consist of but is not limited to the following major items: o Traffic control following GDOT standards; o Erosion Control; o Landscaping; o All associated work, including clearing and grubbing, grading, sediment and erosion control. o The equipment and materials to be furnished by the Contractor will be installed at the locations shown on the Drawings and as described in the respective section of these specifications. o All work shall comply with all Federal, State, and local requirements and specifications. o The latest GDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction of the Georgia Department of Transportation, shall govern the construction of this project. Questions regarding bids should be submitted to Chris Duncan, Buyer, via email at chris.duncan@lawrencevillega.org no later than 3:00 p.m. local time, Monday, September 23, 2024. Bids are legal and binding upon the bidder when submitted. A five percent (5%) bid bond must be submitted with the bid. Successful contractor will be required to provide a one hundred percent (100%) payment and one hundred percent (100%) performance bond as well as an insurance certificate fulfilling requirements as stated in the bid documents. Surety and insurance companies must have an AM Best rating of A-5 or greater, be listed in the Federal Registry of Companies holding Certificate of Authority and acceptable sureties on Federal Bonds, be licensed by the Georgia Insurance Department and the Georgia Secretary of State to do business in the State of Georgia. Bidder agrees to complete the Contract awarded within the "allowable calendar days for completion" from 10 days from the date of the "Notice to Proceed". The City of Lawrenceville reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, and to make an award as deemed in its best interest.
