Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Saanichton, British Columbia. Design plans call for the construction of a fire / police facility; for site work for a fire / police facility; 60,480-square-foot, three-story above grade municipal facility; and municipal facility.
New civic facility on Hovey Road. The facility will include municipal offices, fire and police facilities, and possibly other community and recreation amenities. 4 schematic designs are required for public engagement: Civic facility (3,900m2 of overall gross interior building area) with above ground parking. Civic facility (3,900m2 of overall gross interior building area) with above and underground parking (mix). Civic facility with recreational/community rooms (5,600m2 of overall gross interior building area) with above ground parking. Civic facility with recreational/community rooms (5,600m2 of overall gross interior building area) with above and underground parking (mix). Scope of work to be finalized. TIMELINE: Design is ongoing. The concepts will include two designs for a building on Hovey Road, one with and one without recreation facilities, as well as a civic facility at 1903 Mount Newton. Tender timeline is undetermined. Construction is expected to begin in fall 2026 and be finished in two years.
