The City of Galveston Island Transit Department is requesting bids for the purpose of identifying a vendor to supply an alternative fuel, LPG, for use in transit vehicles. Suppliers will be required provide the storage tank (1000 gallon), installation and deliver requested orders to fueling facility located at 214 28th Street, Galveston TX, 77550. Orders will generally be weekly as it is estimate 816 gallons of LPG usage a week. As part of the lease agreement for the storage tank, LPG will be supplied at a cost per gallon rate proposed in the bid. The contractor shall furnish the necessary personnel, services and facilities to provide and deliver fuels requested by the City. An agreement shall be effective upon execution by the COG for one (1) year, and shall automatically renew for four (4) successive one (1) year periods under the existing terms and conditions, unless either party gives the other party written notice of non-renewal at least 30 days prior to such renewal date.
