The Hollows Conservation Area is undergoing ADA improvements to the Lake Atwood trail loop and boat launch. The new monument sign will serve as a key feature, welcoming visitors and enhancing the identity of the site. This sign will be in the circle drive near the Lake Atwood boat launch. The McHenry County Conservation District (MCCD) invites qualified firms to submit proposals for the fabrication and installation of a new monument sign at The Hollows Conservation Area. The design concept will be provided by MCCD (see attachment). Site Address/ Project Location: The Hollows Conservation Area US Highway 14 Cary, IL 60013. 1.All work shall be complete by Friday, December 20, 2024.
2.All equipment and vehicles shall be properly cleaned of all contaminants prior to entering the site to help with the spread of non-native plant material.
3. Conceptual design is shown on 11x17 sheet attached.
4. Please provide description of construction method and materials within proposal. Prevailing Wages. In accordance with the Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/0.01 et seq., not less than the prevailing rate of wages for similar work in the locality in which the Work is to be performed shall be paid to all laborers. A copy of Owner's ordinance ascertaining the prevailing rate of wages, in effect as of the date of the Invitation for Quote. If the Illinois Department of Labor revises the prevailing rate of hourly wages to be paid, the revised rate shall apply to the Contract. Reservation of Rights. Owner reserves the right to accept the Contractor's Quote that is, in its judgment, the best and most favorable to the interests of Owner and the public; to reject the low Price Quote; to accept any item of any Contractor's Quote; to reject any and all Contractor's Quotes; to accept and incorporate corrections, clarifications or modifications following the opening of the Contractor's Quotes when to do so would not, in Owner's opinion, prejudice the quote process or create any improper advantage to any Contractor; and to waive irregularities and informalities in the quote process or in any Contractor's Quote submitted, provided, however, that the waiver of any defect or informality shall not be considered a waiver of any other defect or informality, and Contractors should not rely upon or anticipate, such waivers in submitting their Contractor's Quotes. Project Timing: Work to begin no later than 30 days after the contract is signed and must be completed within 10 working days. Warranty Period, Repairs, Extension of Warranty. Contractor shall promptly and without charge correct any failure that may be discovered or develop at any time within one (1) year after Final Payment. The warranty shall be extended automatically to cover all repaired and replacement parts and labor provided or performed under such warranty and Contractor's obligation to correct Work shall be extended for a period of one (1) year from the date of such repair or replacement.
