The Project Includes The Following Work: Expansion Of The Sawmill Creek Wwtp Including Headworks Building With A Mechanical Screen And Grit Removal Equipment, A 3 Channel Oxidation Ditch, Two 76' Diameter Clarifiers, Sludge Pumping Building With 3 Sludge Pumps, A Chemical Feed Building With Storage Tank And Duplex Pump Skid, Uv Disinfections, Post Aeration, 2 Final Effluent Pumps, Standby Power Generator, Leachate Receiving Facilities, Electrical Power And Instrumentation, Piping, And Sitework. Bids Are Requested For The Following Contract: Sawmill Creek Wwtp Expansion. Document Notes : Prospective Bidders Must Register With The Designated Website As A Plan Holder, Even If Bidding Documents Are Obtained From A Plan Room Or Source Other Than The Designated Website In Either Electronic Or Paper Format. The Designated Website Will Be Updated Periodically With Addenda, Lists Of Registered Plan Holders, Reports, And Other Information Relevant To Submitting A Bid For The Project. All Official Notifications, Addenda, And Other Bidding Documents Will Be Offered Only Through The Designated Website. Neither Owner Nor Engineer Will Be Responsible For Bidding Documents, Including Addenda, If Any, Obtained From Sources Other Than The Designated Website. Failure To Submit A Complete Set Of Documents Could Result In A Bid That Is Determined To Be Nonresponsive And Rejected By The Owner. Prospective Bidders May Obtain Or Examine The Bidding Documents At The Issuing Office On Monday Through Friday During Regular Business Hours. Partial Sets Of Bidding Documents Will Not Be Available From The Issuing Office. The Cost Of Printing Is To Be Paid To The Printing Company At The Time The Drawings Are Picked Up. Shipping And Tax Charges Are The Bidder's Responsibility And Payable Directly To Becker Impressions. The Bid Guaranty May Be Of Two Forms: 1, A Bid Guaranty And Contract Bond Using The Form In The Contract Documents. (The Amount Of The Bid Does Not Have To Appear On This Form.); 2. A Certified Check, Cashier's Check Or Letter Of Credit In Favor Of Erie County, Ohio In The Amount Of 10% Of The Bid. If The Contract Is Awarded, A Contract Bond Will Be Required, Which Is A 100% Payment And Performance Bond. After The Award Of The Contract Let By Competitive Bid And Prior To The Time The Contract Is Entered Into, Bidders Shall Submit The Affidavit Required Under The Ohio Revised Code, Section 5719.042 That The Bidder Was Not Charged With Any Delinquent Personal Property Taxes In Erie County, Ohio. Erie County Reserves The Right Pursuant To Orc.9.312 To Reject Any And All Bids And To Waive Any Non- Material Irregularity In Determining The Lowest Responsive And Responsible Bidder. The Engineer For The Project Is Kleinfelder, Inc., 1168 North Main Street, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. All Bids Must Be Signed And Submitted On The Blanks, Which Are Bound In This Booklet. Bids Must State The Unit Prices In The Blanks Provided And Be Enclosed In A Sealed Envelope Marked Sawmill Creek Wwtp Expansion And Addressed To Erie County Commissioners Office, At 2900 Columbus Avenue, Room 327, Sandusky, Oh 44870. No Bidder May Withdraw His Bid For A Period Of 60 Days After The Scheduled Closing Time For The Receipt Of Bids. The Successful Bidder Will Be Required To Pay Federal Davis-bacon Wage Determinations Issued By The U.s. Department Of Labor. For All Further Requirements Regarding Bid Submittal, Qualifications, Procedures, And Contract Award, Refer To The Instructions To Bidders That Are Included In The Bidding Documents.
