Lock and Dam 3 Boiler Replacement. This Request for Quotes (RFQ) is being conducted using FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). This is not an Invitation for Bids (IFB) and no bid bond is required. This procurement is set-aside 100% for small business concerns under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 238220,Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors w ith a small business size standard of $19 million. The estimated magnitude of construction is betw een $25,000 and $100,000. In accordance w ith FAR 28.102-1(b); payment protection is required for any resultant contract greater than $35,000. If contract aw ard is for under $35,000, no payment protection is required. Should the contract aw ard exceed $150,000, performance and payment bonds are required. The Contractor shall be required to (a) commence work under this contract within ten(10) calendar days after the date the Contractor receives the notice to proceed, (b) prosecute the work diligently, and (c) complete the entire work ready for use not later than October 30th 2024. The time stated for completion shall include final cleanup of the premises. The completion date is based on the assumption that the successful offeror will receive the notice to proceed by ten (10) days after notice to proceed. The completion date will be extended by the number of calendar days after the above date that the Contractor receives the notice to proceed, except to the extent that the delay in issuance of the notice to proceed results from the failure of the Contractor to execute the contract and give the required performance and payment bonds within the time specified in the offer. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
