Road Maintenance and Services Welch Township, Goodhue County, Minnesota is soliciting bids for the following tasks: 1. Road Maintenance and Services, to include procuring and applying gravel to roadways, blading roads, mowing ditches, trimming trees as needed, snowplowing and sanding. These are the minimum tasks, there may be additional as conditions warrant. Town roads consist of approximately 34 miles of rock surface plus 2.5 miles of bituminous surfaced. 2. Applying Dust Control Chemical. The township routinely applies dust control chemicals to approximately 46,000 square feet of graveled roadway, or approximately 400 feet in front of each residence, plus an additional amount on roadway that is more heavily traveled. A township representative will be available to direct the placement of the chemical. 3. Provide crushed rock meeting the specification of Class 5 crushed quarry rock with a minimum of fines. The price shall be quoted on a per yard basis, delivered to the work site as directed by a township representative. The successful bidder(s) will respond to the tasks best suited to the bidder's capabilities. Multiple contractors should be ready to coordinate with each other to provide a single bid to the township. Both Liability and Workman's Comprehensive Insurance is required.
