The City of Duluth reserves the right to reject any or all bids, split the award or waive informalities, irregularities or minor deviations from the specifications, if deemed to be in the best interests of the City. Price may not be the only consideration for bid award. Bids must be firm for a minimum of 60 days. PROJECT DESCRIPTION & MAJOR WORK ITEMS: The project entails replacing an estimated 450 lead or galvanized iron water service lines with new HDPE service lines in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Duluth, Minnesota. Water service replacements may be from the main to the curb stop, from the curbstop to the building or both. The project includes small-diameter HDPE water main extensions to replace share lead water services. Work will take place in the right of way as well as in on private property and within private buildings. Restoration of all public and private property is required, including but not limited to concrete & bituminous surfaces, vegetation and landscaping.
