Renovation of a water / sewer project in Sewickley, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The Project includes the following Work: Work under Contract 2024-02 covers the furnishing of all labor, material, plant, utilities, and services. required for the removal and installation of new filter bed materials at the Water Treatment Plant. The project is located in Sewickley Borough, Allegheny County. Project will remove existing filter bed materials and gravel and install new Purolite filter bed materials and gravel. Bids are requested for the following Contract: SWA-Contract No. 2024-02 Filter Media Replacement Owner anticipates that the Project's total bid price will be approximately $150,000. The Project has an expected duration of ninety (90) days. Instructions to Bidders For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Attention is called to the fact that prevailing minimum wage rates as determined by the Secretary of the Department of Labor and Industry must be paid by the Contractors on this project and that employees and applicants for employment shall not be discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. Each contractor is required to meet the requirements of Public Works Employment Verification Act, Act 127 of 2012. Any and all steel products used or supplied in the performance of the contract or any subcontracts shall be from steel made in the United States. Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing Question Deadline 09/11/2024 The Owner herby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to refuse and reject any or all bids submitted, and also reserves the right to waive any informality in bids received. Except as otherwise provided by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for sixty (60) days after the Bid Due Date, unless the contract award is delayed by a required approval of another government agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants, in which case the Bids shall remain open to acceptance and shall be irrevocable for a period of sixty (60) after the Bid Due Date. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. A pre-bid conference will not be conducted for this Project
