The Department of Natural Resources is seeking bids for the construction of a water supply well at Larson Lake Forest Campground near Effie, MN. The work covered under this solicitation shall consist of the labor, equipment, materials, tools, transportation, and incidentals necessary for the construction of a water supply well all in accordance with these specifications, and Minnesota Rules Chapter 4725. The completed well will consist of these main items: 1. 4" inch dia. well with PVC casing to a depth of approximately 100 ft below ground. Total well depth will be determined by ground conditions. 2. The existing well is 3" in diameter, the new well is to be 4". The existing hardware can be reused, with the exception of the base plate. 3. 4" stainless steel wire well screen 4. Well grouting, fill, and construction of concrete pad. 5. Rehabilitation of existing Monitor hand pump and internals, leathers, etc. and transfer of same from old well to new. 6. Sealing of existing well. The well is in a remote location and little information is available of the existing well. The depth of 100 feet is only an estimate. Final Completion of the work shall be on or before November 13, 2024. The State reserves the right to award items separately, by grouping items, or by total, whichever is deemed most advantageous to the State.
