The County of Riverside Purchasing on behalf of Transportation Land Management Agency is soliciting quotations for the supply of Hot Mix Paving Asphalt, PG 64-10, PG 64-16 or PG 70-10 by either will call or by delivery to various areas throughout the County as detailed in this RFQ. The estimated annual quantities for the items being bid are shown on the COST SHEET which is to be completed and returned in your response. Estimated usages are based on historical usage data and are provided for quotation purposes only. The County does not guarantee any item or any dollar amount will be purchased The successful vendor will supply product in accordance with the specifications found in the SPECIAL CONDITIONS RESPONSE FORM attached to this RFQ. In the event of the County finding delivered product to be unsatisfactory; Contractor shall be responsible for said defective product by replacing it as soon as possible and further indemnifying the County for any and all losses incurred due to delay in shipment or rejection of product. All questions submitted are located within the RFQ are located online. Responses to questions will be posted by September 12, 2024 electronically. Tentative Date for Awarding Contract Approximately 60 to 120 Days After the RFQ Closes. The County of Riverside Expects to Have a Contractor(S) in Place on or Before 12/31/24. The Bidders are responsible for checking online for notice of intent to award at electronically. The period of performance anticipated for this RFQ shall be for 1 year(s) with the option of 4 additional years each year renewable in one-year increments, unless terminated earlier. This annual renewal shall be based on mutually acceptable services, cost adjustments, and County requirements and there is no obligation by the County of Riverside to purchase any specified amount of goods or services. Method of Award - The County reserves the right to reject any or all offers, to waive any discrepancy or technicality and to split or make the award in any manner determined by the County to be most advantageous to the County. The County recognizes that prices are only one of several criteria to be used in judging an offer and the County is not legally bound to accept the lowest offer. Late quotations will not be accepted. Postmarks will not be accepted in lieu of this requirement. Quotations submitted to any other County office will be rejected.
