The Project is entitled "SCVWA FILTER REHABILITATION PROJECT". The project is located at the two following separate locations: Earl Schmidt Filtration Plant (ESFP) - 32700 N. Lake Hughes Rd in the unincorporated community of Castaic. At this location, the project generally consists of but is not limited to: Removal and disposal of existing anthracite, support gravel, and underdrains; surface preparation and application of protective coating to all specified surfaces of the interior filter basin walls; installation of new, Owner furnished, underdrains, furnish and install new silica filter sand and new anthracite filter media; and all associated work ("Work") as indicated in the Contract Documents and Specifications on filters #2 through #5. Additionally, at this location, the project generally consists of but is not limited to: Removal and storage of existing anthracite for reuse, removal and disposal of support gravel, and underdrains; surface preparation and application of protective coating to all specified surfaces of the interior filter basin walls; installation of new, owner furnished, underdrains, furnish and install new filter silica sand, and re-installation of existing anthracite; and all associated work ("Work") as indicated in the Contract Documents and Specifications on filter #1.
