The proposed project consists of water main replacement of McClain, Mill, Cleveland, Lincoln, Garfield, Philomene, Cleophus Avenues from West of Howard Street to Fort Park Blvd., and Fort Park Blvd. from Champaign to Cleophus Ave. The water main replacement work will consist of approximately 13,100 feet of 8-inch HDPE Direction Drill, 1,750 feet of 8-inch HDPE Pipe Bursting and 2761 feet of 8-inch D.I Water Main Open Cut and including thirty eight (38) new Fire Hydrants, seventeen (17) of 8-inch Gate Valve & Wells, sixteen (16) of 8-inch Gate Valve and D-Boxes, one (1) 8-inch tapping sleeve and well, (587) Water Service Replacement from the new water main to the curb stop (city side only) and (164) Lead Water Service Replacement from the water main to the meter 18-inch inside the buildings. The work involves removal and replacement sections of roads, sidewalks, and driveways to complete the work. The anticipated start date weather permitting no later than April 1st, 2025, and substantially completed by September 1st, 2025, with restoration and final completion by September 29, 2025.
