Department of Public Works is requesting proposals from qualified, licensed contractors to provide annual weed abatement services on County roads. This RFP is for chemical spray abatement only. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, chemicals, water, parts, equipment, tools, supervision, services, transportation, traffic control, waste disposal, facilities, and other required items necessary to complete an eight-foot (8') spray to kill from the edge of pavement. To supplement the County's Fuels Reduction Program, the County requests an eight-foot (8') spray from the edge of pavement. Contractors shall provide a unit price per lane mile for both pre-emergent chemicals sprayed in the Fall, and postemergent spot spraying in the Spring. The County expects approximately 400 - 440 lane miles of work to be performed annually.

The contract term will be 3 years from award date unless terminated or extended in accordance with the provision listed in the RFP. The County reserves the right to terminate its Professional Services Agreement for the convenience of the County at any time by giving written notice to the Contractor of such termination and specifying the effective date thereof. The County will reimburse the Contractor for all acceptable work performed as set forth in the executed Agreement.
