Renovation of a theater / auditorium in College Park, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a theater / auditorium.
he purpose of this project is to replace lighting fixtures and re-lamp existing fixtures that for performance laboratories in the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center. These fixture and original lamp types were based on bulbs that are no longer manufactured. The new fixtures specified are compatible with currently manufactured theatrical LED bulbs and the upgraded dimming rack to be installed under this project. Furnish labor, materials and equipment to replace lighting fixtures and re-lamp some existing fixtures in six (6) theaters. Furnish and install ETC dimmer racks. Contractor shall assess all fixture locations that require fall protection or access provisions and include in their bid all required means and methods to replace fixtures indicated on the floor plans / table at the end of this document. Contractor bid shall include manpower to complete the work in each theater within the time frame as listed in the RFP. Goal of the project is to replace incandescent lighting with LED sources. Some locations will be a lamp replacement with compatible dimmers, and some will be a full fixture replacement with relay or switched power source. Dimming must be smooth over a 20 second fade up/down on all units. Please add a line item for attic stock of all fixtures and lamps, quantity TBD. Demolition of existing Strand CD80SV dimmer racks. And installation of (4) ETC Sensor racks with appropriate modules for lamps. The Lighting Control Systems Integrator (LCSI) shall have experience in the operation and installation of similar equipment associated with the construction and/or renovation of facilities similar in scope to this project. The LCSI shall have been in business for a minimum of 10 consecutive years. The LCSI shall be an authorized dealer for the specified equipment in addition to an adequate number of additional manufacturers of system products necessary to provide a complete working system meeting the intent of this specification. System products shall include, but are not limited to, the following: -Dimming Equipment -Control Systems -Lighting Fixtures -Power Distribution Equipment The LCSI shall offer onsite and in-house maintenance and repair services and must be able to response within twenty-four (24) hours The LCSI shall have on staff at least four full-time, manufacturer- certified field service technicians for the power and lighting control systems specified or to which the new equipment will be connected. LCSI shall have technical support and assistance accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week either directly or via agreements with principle manufacturers. The LCSI shall provide a two-year system warranty for the complete system, not including expendable supplies, effective from the date of system acceptance. Within this warranty period, the LCSI shall be responsible as the Owner's sole contact for the remedy, repair, or replacement of system deficiencies (through the manufacturer's warranty where applicable).
