Formwork Installation: Formwork refers to temporary structures that contain the poured concrete until it sets. These forms define the shape and dimensions of the slab. Install formwork around the perimeter of the slab area. Soil Compaction and Sub- grade Preparation: The subgrade is the native soil layer beneath the concrete slab. Achieving proper compaction of the subgrade is essential to prevent uneven settling. Excavate any areas with soft or loose soil and replace it with a more stable material.
