The project can be summarized to include protective applications to the steel shell piles, cross-bracing, and the cross-bracing connections to extend the useful life of the Bridge Street Bridge, in Sandpoint, Idaho. The work generally includes cleaning all elements targeted for protection, epoxy application, petrolatum tape application, installation of a durable outer cover to the piles, and other related items of work. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount including any additive alternates, is required. A Public Works Contractor License for the State of Idaho is required to bid this work. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises are encouraged to submit bids. Estimated Cost: Over $400,000 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Owner in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Owner in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda. The deadline for bidder questions is three days prior to Bid Opening. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
