As of August 18, 2025, this project is under construction. The current roofing material is metal, and has failed. The expectation of the bidder is that they would: o Remove the existing roofing, flashing and associated material o Replace any skylights, PVC membranes and needed material o Replace any existing rotten or damaged sub-roof materials o Replace the roofing with a metal or concrete shingled roof (standing seam will be considered with references). Roofing must be rated for high wind and ~50 years. o Replace all flashing, and reattach/replace any drainage. Painting as needed. o Remove and dispose of all construction material. o Responsible for all permits. o Meet or exceed Oregon building codes. The City of Waldport is seeking bids for the reroofing of our Museum and Interpretive center located at the entrance to the city at the south end of the Alsea Bay bridge (320 NW Hwy 101 in Waldport). The timeframe on the project is within 2024. Disclaimer: This project counts as a public works project under Oregon CCB rules and HB 2922. It may also require prevailing wage in accordance with Oregon Law and BOLI. The city will also require the successful bidder to issue a $100,000 performance bond.
