Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Lagrange, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a parking garage; for site work for a water / sewer project; water / sewer project; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The Work under Contract B - 2024 Mooty Bridge Lift Station Improvements includes the following: 1) Relocate the existing 8" Force Main, as indicated, & connect to the Proposed 12" DIP discharge pipe from the Proposed Flow meter Vault, as shown on Sheets B-3 & B-6. Utilize 8" PVC SDR 21 Force Main Pipe, all fittings & gate valves, as required. This Activity must be performed as First Task, along with the Flow Meter Vault & piping required to stabilize the relocated 8" Force Main. 2) Grading & compaction required for the Project Area, including the Lift Station Site, 10' Access Road, Parking Area & all Drainage Features on the Site, see Plan Sheets B-2 & B-3. 3) Install & compact 8" of crushed aggregate base course to stabilize the 10' Access Road from Winnwood Drive to the Lift Station & the Lift Station Parking Area, see Plan Sheets B-2 & B-3. 4) Install & compact 8" of crushed aggregate base course to stabilize the Lift Station Fenced Area, see Plan Sheets B-2 & B-3. 5) Install 8" HDPE Storm Drain with Precast Headwalls & install Rip Rap along the entire Drainage Ditch to Stabilize, see Plan Sheet B-3. 6) Excavate, Install & Backfill the 12' diameter Lift Station Wetwell by 29.5' deep, including footing & stone base, see Plan Sheets B-3, B-4 & B-5. 7) Excavate, Install & Backfill the 11' by 8' Lift Station Valve Vault by 10' deep, including footing & stone base, see Plan Sheets B-3, B-4 & B-5. 8) Install the Prime & Finish Coating on all Concrete Walls in the Lift Station Wetwell & Valve Vault, per Section 09900, 2.02. D. Item # 4.B. 9) Install the Piping, Valves & Accessories for the Lift Station Wetwell & Valve Vault, per Plan Sheets B-3, B-4 & B-5. Install Aluminum Ladder in Valve Vault. 10) Install the Prime & Finish Coating on all DI Pipe & Fittings inside the Lift Station Wetwell, per Section 09900, 2.02. D. Item # 4.C. 11) Install the Prime & Finish Coating on all DI Pipe, Fittings & Valves inside the Lift Station Valve Vault, per Section 09900, 2.02. D. Item # 4.C. 12) Install the three Flygt Submersible Pumps & Accessories in the Lift Station Wetwell, per Plan Sheets B-3, B-4 & B-5. 13) Install 6" Bypass Connect & Piping & Fittings from the Valve Vault, per Plan Sheets B-3 & B6. 14) Install 6" Flanged Surge Relief Valve Assembly in accordance with the Assembly Details on Plan Sheets B-3 & B-6, including the 6" Drain Line to the Wetwell. 15) Install 4" Flow Meter & Accessories in accordance with the Flow Meter Vault Details on Plan Sheets B-3 & B-6, including the 8" & 12" Piping, Valves & Accessories. 16) Install 2" HDPE Water Line from the Water Meter & install the 3/4 " Yard Hydrant. 17) Install the Concrete Pad between the Lift Station Wetwell & the Valve Vault. 18) Install the Generator Pad. 19) Install the 175 KW Generator. 20) Install Electrical Pad & Wetwell Junction Box Pad, per the Mooty Bridge Contract B - Electrical Plans & Specifications, provided with the Bid Documents. 21) Install the Monorail & Hoist in accordance with SD C700 & Specification Section 14300. 22) Install Chain Link Fence & Gates for the Lift Station Site. 23) Install Eighteen Pipe Guards per the Plans & as directed, refer to SD C180. 24) Abandon existing Lift Station & influent sewer after the New Lift Station is placed into operation. The Owner will remove all useable equipment & accessories & dewater the Wetwell. 25) Perform all portions of the Mooty Bridge Lift Station Project that's not contained in Bid Item Nos. 1-24. 26) 1 LS Erosion Control Plan Requirements, Complete per Plans. 27) 1 LS Mobilization. 28) 1 LS Demobilization. 29) Allowance for Field Testing of Materials, only if approved by the Engineer for Payment. 30) The Project Also Includes the required excavation, backfill, grading, testing and all other appurtenances and accessories. All bidders should submit any questions concerning the Plans and Specifications to Ellis & Associates by email to: ron@rlellisco.com. All Bidders must have a State of Georgia Utility Contractors License and must employ a state Utility Manager Certificate holder in compliance with Act O.C.G.A. 43-14. One contract shall be awarded covering all the work of this Contract and the maximum time of completion shall not exceed 120 consecutive calendar days from the commencement date established by the Notice to Proceed. All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Bid Amount. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the City of LaGrange, Georgia, as liquidated damages if the BIDDER fails to execute the Contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within ten (10) days after being notified that they had been awarded the Contract. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond such as described in Specification Sections 00610 and 00620 will be required by the successful BIDDER. The Performance Bond must be in the penal amount of 100% of the Contract price and the Payment Bond shall be in the penal amount of 100% of the Contract price. The award will be made to the low, responsive, responsible BIDDER. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. The City of LaGrange, Georgia, reserves the right to reject all bids, to waive informalities and to readvertise.
