The School Board of Orange County, Florida is Interested in Entering Into a Contract With a Qualified Firm to Provide Construction Management at Risk Services of a Specified Nature as Outlined in the Contract to Be Entered Into, the Form of Said Contract Being Available at the Web Link Below, for the Esteem Academy Replacement Project Located at 905 Waltham Avenue, Orlando, Florida 32809. The Construction Manager is Responsible for The Successful, Timely, and Economical Completion of the Construction Project. The Project Will Provide Improved Facilities That Meet Orange County Public School’s Design Guidelines. 1. A new 2-3 story facility, approximately 82,000 square feet, which will house the Esteem Academy, Hospital Homebound, and ESE Transition. The facility will house high and middle school students in grades 6 through 12 with approximately 50 student stations. A large portion of the facility will house administration, teaching, and planning. The facility will be located at the old Pine Castle Elementary site on 6.06 +/- acres. 2. Parking at the facility shall accommodate approximately 140 spaces which may require a parking deck. A car loop with a capacity of approximately 12 to 15 cars will be required. 3. Site improvements, including but not limited to grading, drainage, retaining walls, underground utilities, stormwater retention, etc., are required to support the new facility. 4. Additional site amenities will include a basketball court, pickle ball court, bocce ball court, four square, greenhouse, labyrinth/maze, and calming area. The estimated construction cost is $50,094,000. The Construction Management firm is to provide all professional services to deliver to the owner a safe, finished, and fully functioning School Facility within the estimated construction budget.
