Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Indianapolis, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Guest Experience Project - Phase 1 - Entry Upgrades Work includes a new gate entrance to the fairgrounds and improvements to the main gate and roads. Improvements include, but not limited to sitework and utilities, asphalt, fencing, landscaping, irrigation, concrete, masonry, steel, framing, metal panels, painting, and electrical. The Project consists of a new gate 9 to enter the fairgrounds off of fall creek. Additionally, there are improvements to gate 6, the main entrance for the fair. There will be all new asphalt roads, ticketing islands and booths, and a monumental gate structure for each gate. This Bid Package includes work to be performed for complete project with no plans for additional bid packages. Under this Bid Package the following Bid Categories (BC) will be issued: 1. BC-02 Site Demolition, Earthwork, and Utilities 2. BC-03 Asphalt Placement, Curbs, Striping, and Traffic Signage 3. BC-04 Fencing and Gates 4. BC-05 Landscaping, Irrigation and Pavers 5. BC-06 Site Concrete and Foundations 6. BC-07 General Trades 7. BC-08 Metal Panels 8. BC-09 Directional Signage 9. BC-10 Electrical 10.BC-11 Roadway Signaling and Control Equipment CONTRACT Type: All work for the complete construction of the Project will be under multiple prime contracts with the Construction Manager as Contractor, Shiel Sexton* based on bids received from pre-qualified tier 1 bidders. Award of contracts will be in accordance with Indiana Public Bidding Laws. A Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the total bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Should a successful bidder withdraw his Bid or fail to execute a satisfactory Contract by providing Payment and Performance Bonds, Certificate(s) of Insurance, subcontractor and Materials listing and any other required documents within the required time periods after notice of acceptance of this Bid, the CMc may declare the Bid as non-responsive and declare the Bid Security forfeited as liquated damages, not a penalty. BONDS: A Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Amount will be required of the successful bidder prior to execution of Contracts. Bidders will provide a cost for these bonds on the bid form. The Indiana State Fair Commission, Browning Day, and Shiel Sexton are all committed to ensuring the utilization of diverse suppliers on this Construction Project.
